Service Portal is the E-Splice app for companies that do field work. The office uses Service Portal to book, dispatch and bill jobs. Technicians use the Service Technicians mobile app in the field. Service Portal is a paid add-on: $29.99/month plus $99/month per technician or vehicle, with no free seat. The Team plan includes Service Portal and 1 technician or vehicle seat; each extra technician on Team is $99/month. Buy itSign in as the company owner.Open Service Portal and click Buy Service Portal + 1 technician, or go to the Service Portal page. Both add the add-on and one technician seat to your cart. Change the seat quantity in the cart if you have more technicians.Pay by card (Stripe) or PayPal. After payment Service Portal switches on automatically. If it's ever switched off, the owner can turn it back on with Switch on Service Portal. On the Team planYou don't need to buy the add-on. Open Service Portal and click Switch on Service Portal. You get 1 technician or vehicle seat; buy more seats if you have more technicians. New websitesWhen you order an E-Splice website with ERP, Service Portal is installed on it but stays off until your company buys it or is on Team. The add-on renews monthly. Manage it under My Account > Subscriptions.
Each seat covers one active technician or one active vehicle, at $99/month. Service Portal counts whichever is higher: 3 technicians sharing 2 vans use 3 seats. Add-on buyers pay for every seat. There is no free seat. The Team plan includes 1 seat. Add or remove seatsGo to My Account > Subscriptions and open your Service Portal subscription.Click Change plan / quantity.Under Service Portal technician / vehicle seat, enter the new number of technicians and click Preview change.Check the price, then click Confirm. Adding seats is prorated: you pay only for the rest of the current month, and the new total applies from the next renewal. Removing seats takes effect right away and the unused part is credited to your next renewal. The Technicians & trucks page shows how many seats are in use. If all seats are used, adding another technician or vehicle (or re-activating one) asks you to buy more seats. If you remove seats while more technicians are active, existing technicians keep working, but you can't add any until you're back within your seats. Technicians and trucks, with the seat counter
The Dispatch board shows one day with a column per technician, plus Unassigned / unscheduled. Drag a job onto a technician to dispatch it. Card readers aren't connected: run the card on your reader, then record it. A job in Service PortalThe jobs list
The pricebook lists what you sell: services, materials, equipment, labor and fees, each with a code, category, price, member price, cost and hours. Import ERP products copies your ERP products into the pricebook and links them, so parts can be taken off truck stock.Technicians add work to a job straight from the pricebook in the app.Members of a membership plan get the member price. The pricebook
Give customers choices on any job.Open the job and find Good / better / best options.Fill in Good, Better and Best, each with a title, description and lines from the pricebook.Click Save options, then Create ERP estimates. Each option becomes an ERP estimate and is emailed to the customer. The customer picks an option on their customer page, or the technician picks it in the app. The chosen option becomes the job's work. The reports show your option close rate.
Memberships (maintenance agreements) bring customers back on a schedule.Create a plan: price per billing period, billing period in months, visits per year, member discount and what the visit includes.Add members with the customer, address, start date, next visit and next bill date. Every hour Service Portal creates the visit jobs that are due and bills memberships that are due with an ERP invoice (run as the company owner). Use Create visit to make a visit job early. When a visit job is completed, the next visit date moves forward.Membership plans and members
Record the equipment at each customer: name, make, model, serial number, install date, warranty end date and notes. Link it to the ERP customer to see it on every job for that customer. Technicians can add and update equipment from the field.Customer equipment with serial numbers and warranty dates
Each vehicle is its own ERP stock location, created automatically when you add the truck under Technicians & trucks. Restock a truck with a transfer from your warehouse (or any other location).Assign each technician a truck. When a job is invoiced, lines marked from truck are taken off that truck.See what's on a truck from the truck's Stock view, or in ERP. Each active vehicle uses a seat. The Service Technicians app Install itMake sure the technician is linked to their login under Technicians & trucks.Send them the Service Technicians link from that page (it's /service-tech/ on your E-Splice site). They sign in, then add it to the home screen: iPhone: Safari > Share > Add to Home Screen. Android: Chrome > menu > Install app or Add to Home screen. OfflineThe app keeps today's jobs on the phone. Notes, photos, checklists, signatures, stage changes and payments made without signal are queued and sent automatically when the phone is back online. The header shows Online or Offline and how many changes are waiting to sync. Clock in and outTap Clock in at the start of the day. This uses E-Splice Time Clock (so hours go to timesheets and payroll); without Time Clock, it's an on-duty switch. Location sharingThe first time, the app asks the technician to allow location sharing. Their location is sent only while they're clocked in, and they can stop sharing at any time. Turn on Keep screen on while driving for the most accurate tracking. Very inaccurate points are ignored, and impossible jumps are flagged for the office. A job in the Service Technicians app

I see "Service Portal is a paid add-on" instead of the app.Your company hasn't bought the add-on and isn't on Team. The owner can buy it from that screen. If you just paid, refresh after a minute. "You have N technician/vehicle seats and they are all in use."Buy more seats, or deactivate a technician or vehicle you no longer use. See Technician and vehicle seats. A technician sees "Your login is not set up as a technician yet".Add them under Technicians & trucks and link them to their login. They must be a member of your company. A technician doesn't show on the live map. They need to be clocked in, have allowed location sharing in the app and have the phone's location turned on for the browser. Points older than 15 minutes show as not live. The customer's on-the-way page has no map.The map appears only while the job is on the way, the technician is clocked in and sharing location, and the last point is under 10 minutes old. Changes made offline haven't appeared in the office.Open the app with signal; queued changes send automatically. Don't log out while changes are waiting. Texts aren't sending.Check the Twilio SID, token and From number in Settings, and that the customer's phone number includes the area code. Parts weren't taken off the truck. The line must be marked from truck, linked to an ERP product, and the technician must have a truck. Stock moves when the job is invoiced. Payments aren't in Accounting.Payments go onto the ERP invoice; Accounting picks them up into Payments Received on its next sync (a few minutes). The booking form says "please try again later".The spam filter blocked the request. Wait a minute and submit again without autofill tools. Still stuck? Contact support.
