If your website uses the Grainhouse theme, you can start from a ready-made design for your kind of business instead of a blank page. There are 48 starter demos across 20 industries. Each one includes a home page, an About page, a Services or Shop page, FAQ and Contact pages, a few blog posts, menus, footer details, colors and fonts, all built with Elementor so you can edit every section visually.

Pick a demo

  1. In your website admin, go to Appearance > Starter demos. (Using a different theme? Switch to Grainhouse first. See Changing your theme.)
  2. Filter by industry, choose Online stores or Service businesses, or search for a word like “plumber” or “bakery”.
  3. Click Preview to see a larger picture of the home page.
  4. Click Import. Choose whether to add sample products to my store and add sample blog posts, then click Import this demo. It usually takes under a minute.
  5. Click View my site, then Edit home page with Elementor to make it yours.

What changes and what doesn’t

  • Your site name and tagline stay the same. The demos show your own site name wherever the business name appears.
  • Nothing you already made is deleted. The demo adds new pages, posts, images and menus. Your existing pages stay under Pages, and your existing products stay in your store.
  • The demo’s home page becomes your front page, and its menus, footer, colors and fonts are applied.
  • Elementor (free) is switched on for your site if it isn’t already. No paid Elementor Pro features are needed.
  • All names, phone numbers (555) and email addresses (example.com) in the demos are made up. Replace them with your own details. The photos are free-to-use stock photos, and you can swap them for your own at any time.

With or without sample products

Store demos come with sample products and categories, and service demos come with bookable packages and gift cards. If you already have real products, untick Add sample products to my store and only the pages, menus and design are imported. Your own products will show in the home page product sections instead. If WooCommerce is off on your site, the demo imports without products.

Changing your mind

  • Undo: on the Starter demos page, click Remove demo content. Everything the demo added is deleted, and your previous front page, menus, widgets, colors and fonts come back. Demo pages you edited after the import are kept, so you never lose your work.
  • Try another one: importing a different demo removes the current demo’s content first, then adds the new one.
