Your website is backed up automatically every night, and you can make your own backup or restore one at any time under E-Splice Tools > Backups.
What’s in a backup
Each backup contains your site’s content, settings, products, orders and customers, your media files and your team list (no passwords). Backups are stored securely on E-Splice servers, never on the public web.
Automatic daily backups
- Run every night at about 3 AM Central time.
- We keep the last 7 daily backups and 4 weekly backups.
- Backup storage: 2 GB on Basic and 5 GB on Premium. The Backups screen shows how much you’re using. When storage is full, the oldest automatic backups are removed first.
Making a backup yourself
Select Back up now. Keep the page open until it says the backup is finished. You can keep up to 5 manual backups. Delete an older one to make room. You can also Download a copy of any backup.
Restoring a backup
- Find the backup in the list and select Restore.
- Confirm. Before restoring, we automatically take a safety backup of your site as it is now, so you can go back if you need to.
- Keep the page open until it says the restore is finished.
A restore replaces your site’s content, settings, orders and media with the backup. Your E-Splice apps, plan and team access are not changed.
